Designed with the LAN gamer in mind the Titan comes complete with a cylindrical metal tin that you can use to transport your mouse mat in to save damaging it. It’s a superb idea if you do go to LAN parties as it protects the Titan well, but if you don’t and you only want the mat for playing online games at home then it’s a bit of a waste. Essentially you’re having to pay for the metal tin in with the price of the mat. Since not everyone will need to transport the mat to LAN parties Everglide could have provided an option of not having the tin, thus lowering the price.
The Titan is pretty large in comparison with a standard mouse mat. This is essentially a good point and a bad point. If you have a nice large desk with loads of space a large mouse mat is superb, however if you’re lacking space the Titan may be too big. Essentially though larger is better, especially where gaming is concerned.
At the end of the day the Everglide Titan is perfect in every way. It performs exceptionally when used with standard ball mice and optical mice. After many days and hours playing Battlefield 2 using the Titan no ware was evident, although the cloth probably won’t last as long as a hard surfaced mat. The overall quality of the mat is superb, as is the surface.

Overall
The Titan does exactly what it was designed to do and will probably be the only mouse mat you’ll ever need. Although £19.99 sounds expensive for a mouse mat it’s worth every penny, if you’re a pro gamer you can’t play without a pro mouse mat. Whether you’re an existing pro, or gaming novice the Everglide Titan provides a good surface for precision and accurate gaming.
